SEM Day was celebrated today, beginning with Morning Meeting when SEM's 66 seniors triumphantly arrived in their college sweatshirts. Today is the day when decisions are final and deposits must be made. For a complete list of the colleges and universities the Class of 2015 was accepted at, as of April 15, click here.
Today was also marked by our 2d annual Voices From Abroad conference with portfolio presentations from the SEM students who went to Spain and France on exchanges this spring. Priceless quotes abounded, but insights were shared like, "Boys make school less about learning and more about annoying each other," (our exchange schools in both countries are co-ed) and the difference between teen life in Buffalo and Oviedo being, "Here plans always revolve around one question. Can I get a ride?"
SEM Day is also a fundraiser and this year we have a match from the SEM graduates of the Sears/Marlette family:
Rosemary Smith Marlette ‘41
Catherine Marlette Waddell ‘71
Suzanne Marlette Sears ‘73
Rosemary Sears ‘02
If alumnae and friends raise $10,000, SEM will receive a $5,000 match!
